About The Author
"
I'm born in Iceland, but I live in the United Kingdom. I have three sons, two young adults and my youngest is still a teenager. They are the gems of my life. I have a B.A. degree in Sociology from the University of Iceland. I have another B.A degree in Sociology from the University of Copenhagen in Denmark, and a Cand.Scient.Soc. degree (equivalent to an MSc degree) in Sociology from the University of Copenhagen in Denmark.
I'm an author and a poet. I have gotten some of my own poems published internationally. Alongside writing, I have worked in various fields throughout my life, and from 2018 in a secondary school in the UK. I have also been working as a translator at a publishing house. I have done various volunteering work, and I was twice elected a board member in a student organisation.
Throughout the years, a sociological perspective of the world has meshed together with my mindset and way of thinking. Sociology is the academic study of society, human behaviour, and social interactions, and this has influenced my writing style.
My writing is inspired by what interests me, and by what catches my attention, at any given point in time. The literary genres I explore in my writing are, contemporary, social realism, and historical fiction. The themes I explore in my writing are, bravery, hardship, power, and love. I hope you enjoy my writing, as much as I do."
