About The Author

"

I'm born in Iceland, but I live in the United Kingdom. I'm the mother of three half grown up children, who are the gems of my life. I have a B.A. degree in Sociology from the University of Iceland. I have another B.A degree in Sociology from the University of Copenhagen in Denmark, and a Cand.Scient.Soc. degree (equivalent to an MSc degree) in Sociology from the University of Copenhagen in Denmark.

Throughout the years, a sociological perspective of the world has meshed together with my mindset and way of thinking. Sociology is the academic study of society, human behaviour, and social interactions, and this has influenced my writing style. When I'm in the process of moulding my stories, I imagine a movie I would really want to watch and go from there.

My writing is inspired by what interests me, and by what catches my attention, at any given point in time. The literary genres I explore in my writing are, contemporary, social realism, and historical fiction. The themes I explore in my writing are, bravery, hardship, power, and love. I hope you enjoy my writing, as much as I do."

— Sigríður Lovísa Bergmann Björnsdóttir (aka Dali Katz)
